What is It? Growing Up WILD is an early childhood interdisciplinary curriculum that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Through a wide range of activities and experiences, Growing Up WILD provides an early foundation for developing positive impressions about the natural world and lifelong social and academic skills. Activities are designed to meet Head Start Domains and NAEYC Accreditation Criteria.
Who is it For? This early childhood curriculum is perfect for teachers and caregivers of children aged 3 to 7 years old.

9:30-11:30 – Audubon Workshops with staff naturalists
11:30-12:30 – Lunch
12:30-3:30 – Growing Up WILD with Megan Boice-Green of the NYS DEC
Fee? Free! Publishers of the curriculum insist that we cannot charge
you for this workshop. AND, you will receive the Growing Up WILD
curriculum free as part of attending the workshop. (We will put out a
donation basket to cover expenses and express our gratitude in advance
for your support.)
Be Prepared: Please come ready to have fun and learn both indoors and out.
- Dress for the weather.
- Bring a lunch that does not need refrigeration, including a beverage. (We will provide coffee and tea and our filtered and UV-treated tap water is delicious! We also have a pop machine.)
- Consider an optional donation. We will set out a donation basket, in case you are feeling generous with your cash.
- For the morning workshop, please bring one or more of the following: a ziplock bag, an empty and clean peanut butter jar, an empty and clean glass baby food or salsa jar, an empty tennis ball tube, a used paper or plastic shopping bag, a toilet paper tube, and old calendar or magazine, used tissue paper, and/or – a clever craft or use for one of these items…
